Courses start daily. A Placement Test must be taken before joining. Our standard course is weekly Monday to Friday - three hours per day commencing at 09:45 or 13:45 hours. In addition to the standard course we offer an Intensive course - six hours a day commencing at 09:45 and 13:45, Part-Time courses, a Semi-Intensive course that combines the Standard course with one of the Part-Time courses and Hourly courses for One-to-One and private (closed) groups.
Part-Time courses are not available to people who need permission to enter the United Kingdom to study. Part-time students must attend on the day/s that the relevant class is scheduled to run.

ENGLISH AND WORK EXPERIENCE PROGRAMME
A course that combines General English with 3 or 6 months work experience in a chosen profession or in Hospitality. During this course, students produce a dossier for a University of Cambridge International Certificate. Anyone wishing to attend this course should have completed a General English course to level 6 of the International English Language Testing System framework or ALTE 3 and must attend an English course for at least four weeks before working.

HOLIDAY/VACATION COURSES
The London Learning Experience course is a trusted and high quality holiday programme - for groups of adults or children. A group is a minimum of 10 persons/students. Individual students are welcome to join existing groups.
The London Learning Experience combines language tuition with cultural visits, sightseeing and fun. It is suitable for groups - children of similar ages (minimum age 11), or adults (age 17 and above). Responsible monitors supervise activities outside the classroom. A standard programme includes:

EXAMINATION PREPARATION
Courses designed to enable students to reach the level necessary to pass any of the following examinations in English:
*ALTE: The Association of Language Testers in Europe
Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE) ALTE* level 5
A University of Cambridge ESOL examination, at the highest level for those wishing to become teachers of English or wishing to follow an academic course at a university in the United Kingdom.
Certificate in Advanced English (CAE) ALTE* level 4
A University of Cambridge ESOL examination, usually taken after completing a General English course at Advanced level.
First Certificate in English (FCE) ALTE* level 3
A widely recognised University of Cambridge ESOL examination, which is taken after completing a General English course at Upper Intermediate level.
Preliminary English Test (PET) ALTE* level 2
A University of Cambridge ESOL examination, taken after completing a General English course at Intermediate level.
International English Language Testing System (IELTS)
An examination that is jointly managed by University of Cambridge ESOL Examinations (Cambridge ESOL), British Council and IDP Education Australia (IELTS Australia), for students wishing to attend universities and colleges of tertiary education. The faculty or college determines the level required to follow a course.

Trinity College London Oral Examinations at 12 levels.
Business English Certificate (BEC)
University of Cambridge ESOL examinations at Preliminary, Vantage and Higher levels.
Teaching Knowledge Test (TKT)
A University of Cambridge test of professional knowledge about the teaching of English to Speakers Of Other Languages. There are three modules, each testing a different area of teaching. TKT does not test teaching ability or a teacher’s language proficiency.
LINGUACENTRE is an authorised internal centre for the Preliminary English Test (PET) and Teaching Knowledge Test (TKT).

TEACHING KNOWLEDGE TEST
LINGUACENTRE offers the TKT course to provide those who are interested in teaching English to speakers of other language, classroom experience with learners of the language.
Prospective candidates may be native English speakers or speakers of any other language. The minimum level of English necessary for TKT candidates is Intermediate plus / IELTS band csore of 4.5.
Candidates may already be teachers of primary, secondary or adult learners anywhere in the world.
The course is designed to give candidates the confidence to present the language in a stimulating and professional manner.
Candidates will join the teaching tean and will be guided by a fully qualified teacher. Candidates will observe experienced teachers of classes at various levels.
The TKT examination is in 3 computerised modules, which may be taken in one session or separately, in any order.
Candidates may attend for 2, 3 or 4 weeks. An experienced teacher of other subjexts, an experienced language learner or a non-native speaker with Proficiency level pass should apply for 2 weeks; a candidate with no experience of teaching or language learning should take the 4-week course.
Some pre-course studying is recommended.
The University of Cambridge examination board require 6 weeks notice of intention to sit any module/s.
